Guarantee

Savoir Beds offers a 25-year guarantee on key elements of your bed. The guarantee does not apply to mattresses used without a Savoir box spring, and excludes toppers. Please follow the care instructions to ensure your guarantee remains valid. It is important that you register your bed within one month of purchase.

Savoir Beds Guarantee

In addition to the rights awarded to the consumer by UK law, all bed sets manufactured by Savoir Beds Limited (“SBL”) are covered by the guarantee set out below, subject to the terms and conditions herein. Savoir Beds offers a 25-year guarantee on the key structural elements of its mattresses and box springs when used together as a bed set. Mattresses used without a Savoir box spring are offered with a 15-year guarantee if an appropriate base or foundation is used, as detailed below.

This guarantee excludes toppers, headboards and bed frames. With proper care, we expect a life of 5 to 7 years on a topper, but this is not guaranteed. To ensure your guarantee remains valid, all care and usage instructions must be followed. Please refer to our Care Guide for full details.

1. Guarantee Period and Registration

The guarantee commences on the date of delivery and remains valid for the period specified. This guarantee is valid only for the original consumer purchaser (or the immediate client of an interior designer or purchasing company) and is non-transferable.

2. 25-Year Bed Set Guarantee

All Savoir bed sets (Savoir mattress and Savoir box springs used together) are covered by a 25-year guarantee against breakage of the metal springs or the frame of a Savoir box spring and manufacturing defects.

Exclusions include misuse, neglect, damage caused by the use of an inappropriate bed frame or support (e.g., damage to linked bases resulting from failure to use a bed frame with proper support in each corner), and normal wear and tear. The guarantee does not apply to any bed set that is not in a sanitary condition. Normal settlement or comfort changes are not defects. Ticking and fabric defects are not covered by the guarantee. Bed sets must be maintained in accordance with the care instructions.

3. 15-Year Mattress Guarantee and Approved Support Systems

Mattresses used without Savoir box springs are covered by a 15-year guarantee against breakage of the metal springs and manufacturing defects when used on:

- A rigid platform base with no gaps or holes. - A sound, level third-party box spring - A slatted base with a pegboard between the slats and the mattress. Mattresses used on bowed, dipping, damaged, or unsupported bases are excluded, as are those used directly on slats.

4. Eligibility and Claims Procedure

In order for this guarantee to be valid, you must be the original consumer purchaser (or the immediate client of an interior designer or purchasing company), have purchased the bed through an authorised showroom and have made a written complaint to SBL within a reasonable time after the damage has

been noted or should have been noted, providing the order number. If the bed is not in the country of purchase, any travel or transportation expenses will be covered by the consumer.

5. Inspection, Repair, and Remedy

Upon receipt of the complaint, SBL shall promptly examine and remedy the problem. SBL will inform the customer of whether this examination and/or repair will be undertaken at the customer’s location or if the bed should be transported to SBL or an SBL authorised showroom for examination and/or repair. SBL will arrange any necessary transport, unless otherwise agreed by the parties, but the buyer will be responsible for the transportation costs of the product to and from the showroom or the SBL production facility, as appropriate. SBL reserves the right to decide how the situation shall be remedied and will, at its own expense, repair or replace the bed. If identical materials are not available at the time of any claim, SBL will substitute materials of equal or higher value, or at our option, provide a refund.

6. Invalid Claims

If the failure is shown not to be covered by the guarantee, the buyer shall, at the discretion of SBL, acting reasonably, pay the costs incurred by the erroneous complaint.

7. Limitation of Liability and Medical Disclaimer

SBL shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use this product, or for breach of this or any other express or implied guarantee. SBL does not guarantee that this product is suitable for any person’s medical condition.

8. Statutory Rights

This guarantee does not affect statutory consumer rights.
